Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP) is a non-invasive neurodiagnostic test that measures how sensory signals travel through the nerves, spinal cord, and brain.
Small electrical stimuli are applied to the arms or legs, and electrodes on the scalp and spine record the brainβs response. This test is especially useful in detecting nerve conduction issues, spinal cord injuries, and neurological diseases that may not show up on imaging alone.
